A pedestrian died after being struck by a hit-and-run driver in Norfolk Friday evening, police say.
Around 10:20 p.m., Norfolk police responded to a traffic accident on the 1400 block of East Ocean View Avenue and found an adult woman lying in the street, according to a release from the Norfolk Police Department. The vehicle that hit her had left the scene.
She was pronounced dead by paramedics. Her identity has not been released, pending notification of her family.
