VIRGINIA BEACH — A North American river otter at the Virginia Aquarium is celebrating a birthday Thursday with his very own cake.
Homer turned seven and the Virginia Aquarium live streamed the celebration at 1:30 p.m. on its Facebook page.
The live stream starred the birthday boy himself eating his cake in the aquarium’s marsh pavilion. The cake is made with ice and various meats that fit otters’ diets, like chicken, shellfish and shrimp.
