VIRGINIA BEACH — A shopper inside the Haygood Shopping Center Dollar Tree store was taken to the hospital after another woman drove her car through the store’s window.
Shortly after 1 p.m., dispatchers were notified of the accident, which caused extensive damage to the front of the store and merchandise inside. The woman driving the vehicle was not injured. She was the only person in the car.
Police said they are investigating the cause of the accident.
