The leaves have not yet begun to change colors, but it’s already time to register for youth winter basketball programs.
York County’s Parks, Recreation and Tourism will be organizing Youth Winter Basketball. Registration will be open between Oct. 10 and 28. Games will begin in early January 2017, and will run through the end of February.
Children in grades 3 through 12 are eligible to register for boys or girls-only leagues.
Residents of York County may register their child for $55, and $50 for each additional child. Residents of other localities will be charged $90 per child.
Registration can be completed in person, through the mail, or online. In-person registration can be completed at 100 County Drive in Yorktown. To register by mail, complete a registration form for each participant, include a check payable to Treasurer, County of York, and mail to York County Parks, Recreation and Tourism, P.O. Box 532, Yorktown, VA 23690. Online registration can be completed here.
Parents or guardians interested in coaching can indicate so on the registration form.
