Update 12:32 p.m.: According to Dominion Power’s website, there are 194 customers currently without power. The affected area no longer includes schools. The company estimates full power will be restored no later than 7 p.m.
Update 11:48 a.m.: According to Dominion Power’s website, there are 901 customers currently without power. The company estimates full power will be restored no later than 2 p.m.
Update 10:06 a.m.: According to Sawanda Snowden, a spokesperson for Dominion Power, power could be restored to the area by 11 a.m.
Centerville Road is currently shut down between Jolly Pond and Colonial Heritage due to a vehicle crash that resulted in a power pole being knocked down, according to Stephanie Williams, a spokesperson for the James City County Police Department.

According to Sawanda Snowden, a spokesperson for Dominion Power, a crew is currently working in that area to restore power due to the downed pole. The power could remain out until 2 p.m. today, Snowden said.
The roadway will remain closed while Dominion Power is replacing the pole, Williams said.
The accident has caused several schools to lose power, according to Twitter alerts from WJCC schools, Lois Hornsby Middle School and Warhill High School.

According to Dominion Power’s website, the outage has affected 3,567 customers.
