Original Post: A third person is wanted in connection with the shooting death of a 17-year-old Tabb High student in January.
The York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office published a wanted poster of Alphonzo Christopher Jackson on its Facebook page Thursday morning, asking the public for help in locating him.
YPSO has warrants out for his arrest, charging him with felony counts of accessory to murder, accessory to robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery.
Deputies suspect he was involved in the death of Dylan Peters, who was shot and killed Jan. 27 at his home on Cattail Lane in the Tabb area.
The poster says Jackson is “considered armed and dangerous.” Lt. Dennis Ivey with YPSO said he is likely carrying a firearm.
His last known address is on Port Landing off J. Clyde Morris Boulevard in Newport News.
Tevin Lambert, a 20-year-old man, is suspected of providing the 17-year-old shooting suspect with a backpack the boy was allegedly going to use to store the stolen drugs.
He faces a felony count of conspiracy to commit robbery.
According to court documents, Jackson told investigators he was with the 17-year-old suspect and Lambert in the Windy Shore subdivision, where Peters lived, leading up to the shooting.
Ivey said the investigation is ongoing.
“Through the course of investigation, [deputies] developed probable cause to charge him with those crimes,” Ivey said.
