The Richmond FBI is offering a reward of up to $15,000 for anyone with information regarding a string of robberies that have occurred throughout Virginia.

FBI Richmond Division spokesperson Dennette Rybiski announced Thursday in a news release investigators are still looking for the suspect accused of robbing multiple drug stores in the counties of Henrico, Hanover, Arlington and Prince William and in the cities of Fredericksburg, Williamsburg, Hampton and Newport News between July and November.

The latest robbery occurred Nov. 17 in Newport News, when a man entered the Rite Aid on J. Clyde Boulevard and demanded “oxy” from the pharmacist, the news release indicates.

The man has been described as a 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-9 black male. During the Nov. 17 robbery he was seen wearing a black zip-up sweatshirt, a white shirt, dark pants, black shoes and a white ball cap with a black logo and a flat bill.

The FBI is investigating seven similar robberies that have taken place in pharmacies around the state. In each of the instances, the suspect holds a white cloth over his face and demands oxycodone pills, sometimes while displaying a handgun, Rybiski said.

The suspect is alleged to have targeted Williamsburg on Sept. 16, when he entered the CVS on Richmond Road holding a white cloth over his face, displayed a handgun and demanded the store’s supply of oxycodone from the pharmacist.

Investigators from the FBI and from law enforcement agencies in Henrico, Hanover County, Fredericksburg, Williamsburg, Arlington County, Prince William County, Hampton and Newport News are working on the case, Rybiski said.
