Investigators with the York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office are asking the public for help in identifying a man accused of robbing a clerk in a York County hotel.
The suspect allegedly entered the hotel in the 600 block of Bypass Road in Upper York County around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, pulled out a handgun and robbed the clerk of an undisclosed amount of money, according to a news release on YPSO’s Facebook page.
The suspect is described as a black male around 28 to 32 years old, between 180 and 200 pounds and as 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-9 in height. The release states the man was wearing an oversized black hoodie, black pants and black gloves.
Lt. Dennis Ivey with YPSO would not disclose the name of the hotel.
