The third phase of a sewer line project across parts of Seaford is beginning this month, with detours to be expected on Hornsbyville Road and Wolf Trap Road.
The sanitary sewer project in the Hornsbyville area will serve 89 properties, according to the county’s capital improvements plan.
About $1.2 million was budgeted in the capital improvements plan for this project.
Hornsbyville Road between Old Wormley Creek and Waterview Roads as well as parts of Wolf Trap Road will be affected, according to a York County news release.
Mark Swilley, the county’s project engineer, said detours will be in place for about 12 months. Drivers will most likely be directed to Goodwin Neck Road during the detour.
Daily notification will be made to all emergency service agencies and other affected users of road, the release said. Detour signs will be prominently displayed in advance of the work zone.
Access to residences and businesses will be maintained throughout the construction.
