The topic for this year’s NetworkPeninsula annual Impact Forum will take a look at how different generations interact with their community.
Matt Thornhill will present “Generational Dynamics for the Nonprofit, Public and Private Sectors,” over lunch Nov. 22.
The event is open to members of NetworkPeninsula – an organization that works to connect and educate area nonprofits – and the public.
Thornhill’s talk will focus on the mindsets of different generations and why they matter to nonprofits. It will include education on how to effectively reach out and engage across all generations and leverage each one’s strengths, as well as specific action steps to ensure success in 2020 and beyond.
Afterward, there will be small group roundtable discussions to explore the subject further.
Thornill works to help companies and organizations plan for the changing landscape as generations interact, and has presented to Walmart, Google and NASA.
“Our Impact Forums focus on timely topics that affect not only the nonprofit sector but also the businesses, civic and faith-based groups that have a stake in the future of our communities,” said Karen Dutro, executive director of NetworkPeninsula, in a news release. “In the face of an increasingly ‘virtual’ society, it is essential that we understand how to better interact with each other. For some, that does not involve the virtual world at all, while for others, it is the only way they know.”
The event starts at 11:30 a.m. at Legacy Hall in New Town. Lunch will be provided by Catering by SV.
