Zoës Kitchen is bringing “fast casual” Mediterranean cuisine to Williamsburg with its 124th nationwide location opening in Settler’s Market today.
The Zoës Kitchen franchise is spreading south of Richmond with its first Hampton Roads-area location — and ninth in the state — slated to open at 11 a.m. Thursday at 5025 Settlers Market Blvd.
“Virginia has been a strong area of growth for us. We look for expansion opportunities in thriving family communities like Williamsburg, where residents value their time and a good, wholesome meal,” said Tony Fratoe, the company’s regional operator, in an email. “Zoës continues to see successful growth in 15 states and we hope to continue growth in strong communities like Williamsburg while always maintaining our commitment to exceptional quality of food and service.”
Zoës prepares fresh food daily, and its restaurants do not have fryers or microwaves, according to a news release. The restaurant’s menu for its Willow Lawn location in Richmond — the Williamsburg menu is not yet available online — includes soup, salad, hummus, sandwiches, pita sandwiches and grilled sandwiches. Entrée prices are in the $9 range, but there are higher- and lower-cost options.
The restaurant will be open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. Diners can dine in the 86-seat restaurant, eat on the 40-seat patio, call ahead for takeout or order online. Prepared dinners for four and food options by the pint are also available, and the restaurant offers catering.
