Cleaning Crew Member Suspected in Jewelry Theft
A 33-year-old Newport News man working as a member of a cleaning crew at Greensprings Vacation Resort is facing felony charges after he allegedly stole a gold necklace from a room at the resort.
Kelly Antoine Zimmerman is believed to have entered the room without authorization to steal a gold necklace valued at $900, said Deputy Chief Stephen Rubino of the James City County Police Department.
The necklace has not been recovered. Zimmerman faces felony charges of burglary and grand larceny. He was arrested July 9.
Suspect in Polo Store Thefts Caught
A 21-year-old suspect connected to the theft of about $1,000 of children’s clothing from the Polo Ralph Lauren store at the Premium Outlets has been arrested.
Antoine Leon Kelly was arrested July 8 in connection to the thefts, which occurred Dec. 24, Rubino said. None of the clothing has been recovered.
Kelly is charged with grand larceny and conspiracy to commit grand larceny, both felonies. He is facing identical charges in Virginia Beach for unrelated offenses.

One Arrested After Police Observe Alleged Cocaine Sale
A 45-year-old James City County woman is facing charges after police say an officer observed her purchasing suspected cocaine July 6 on the 600 block of York Street.
Maj. Greg Riley of the Williamsburg Police Department said an officer observed 45-year-old Tina Marie Huntsinger purchase the suspected drug from an unidentified person at about 3:30 p.m. July 6. The officer approached Huntsinger and confronted her, at which point she made statements implicating her in the suspected cocaine transaction, Riley said.
The other person in the alleged transaction walked away in the opposite direction and was not apprehended by police, Riley said. The investigation into that person remains open.
Huntsinger was taken to the Virginia Peninsula Regional Jail and charged with one felony count of possession of cocaine.
Man Charged With Felony After Allegedly Pushing Police Officer
A 20-year-old James City County man is facing an assault on a law enforcement officer charge after he allegedly pushed a police officer who was trying to handcuff him.
A Williamsburg Police officer saw 20-year-old Cameron Ryan Nirmaier and three others walking westbound on the 900 block of Richmond Road at about 1:20 a.m. July 5. Nirmaier was staggering, and one person in the group was trying to help him walk, Riley said.
The officer approached the group and asked about Nirmaier’s condition. He then tried to take Nirmaier into custody, at which point Nirmaier pulled away and pushed the officer, Riley said.
Nirmaier was arrested and taken to Virginia Peninsula Regional Jail where he was charged with one felony count of assaulting a law enforcement officer and one count each of underage possession of alcohol and drunk in public.
