Registrations are now being accepted for the York County Summer Fun program for elementary and middle school students.
The elementary school program is open to participants who have completed kindergarten through those who have completed fourth grade. The camp will be held from June 23 through July 26 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday at Coventry, Tabb, Dare and Seaford elementary schools and Queens Lake Middle School.
Participants will receive a visit from the Virginia Living Museum, storytime from James City and York county libraries, the story of a Civil War soldier, karaoke and more. There are also Olympic games, pajama day, sports day, circus day and more.
The middle school program is open to participants who have completed fifth grade through those who have completed seventh grade. The camps will be held at Grafton and Queens Lake middle schools on the same dates and times as the elementary school program.
Participants in the middle school program will receive field trips to Go-Karts Plus, the movies, roller skating, swimming and bowling. There will also be crafts, sports, water play, karaoke and more.
Both the elementary and middle school camps will be supervised by qualified camp leaders in safe settings, according to a news release from York County.
Registration for either program is $200 for Historic Triangle residents and $300 for people who live outside the Historic Triangle. To register, call York County Parks, Recreation and Tourism at 890-3500.
