Robertson Liebler Development Group took home the Captain John Smith Award after attending James City County’s 20th annual Celebration of Business.

Each year, James City County’s economic development team honors a business, organization or person for contributions made to the county’s business community. This year, the Board of Supervisors and Economic Development Authority recognized Robertson Liebler Development Group for more than $20 million in investments into the county over the past seven years. An award was presented to Jon Liebler and Derek Robertson.

Robertson Liebler Development Group opened in James City County in 2008, said Supervisor John McGlennon (Roberts) in a news release. The company is a “full service general contractor and design-build firm specializing in development and construction of commercial real estate with an emphasis on fast track and turn-key design-build services,” McGlennon continued in the release.

The company has made a $4.7 million investment in constructing an office space at Busch Corporate Center and is currently breaking ground on a new office in New Town.
