Nobody was hurt when a 64-year-old Surry County woman’s Cadillac sedan accelerated as she was pulling into a parking space at the Williamsburg Pottery on Wednesday, sending the vehicle through a window.
James City County Fire Department District Chief Bob Ryalls said the driver and a passenger in her vehicle were stuck in the car until first responders could get the debris out from around the car’s doors. They were able to get out of the car after about 20 minutes, he said.
The call came in at about 2:30 p.m., he said. The woman, Selinda Judkins, and her passenger were out of the car before 3 p.m. Maj. Stephen Rubino of the James City County Police Department said Judkins is facing one count of reckless driving in a parking lot.
