Williamsburg Bird Club Hosting New Quarter Park Walks

YorkCountyLogoThe Williamsburg Bird Club is hosting a series of bird walks at New Quarter Park on select Saturdays in November.

The walks will allow participants to see ducks, heron, eagles and more at Queens Creek. A walkthrough of woodlands and meadows will expose participants to song birds and birds of prey.

Hugh Beard, a club member and a field biology teacher at Lafayette High School, will lead a walk from 8 to 10 a.m. Nov. 9. Bill Williams, a club member and the Director of Education at the William and Mary Center for Conservation Biology, will lead the walk from 7 to 9 a.m. Nov. 23.

There are several pairs of binoculars available for the public at the New Quarter Park office. For more information, call 890-3500.
