The James City County Recreation Center will be closed on Election Day.
The Recreation Center, at 5301 Longhill Road, is the polling place for Jamestown B and D districts; there is typically a high turnout for voting so parking is limited.
All front desk operations, classes and activities scheduled for Nov. 5 have been canceled. All pass holders will be notified of the planned closure.
All weekly late fees for the REC Connect program will be waived until 10 a.m. Friday. A punch card will be needed after Friday to be used the following week. Citizens who prefer to register in-person for REC Connect can do so in person Tuesday at any other payment location during regular hours.
