Philip O’Connor of Williamsburg was named corporate relations officer at Virginia Commonwealth University’s (VCU) School of Engineering.
O’Connor was previously an engineering account manager at Maryland-based staffing agency Aerotek — the largest human capital firm in the country.
With his more than six years of experience in business development in transportation, he’ll take over his role at VCU that involves building partnerships in local industry.
O’Connor received his bachelor’s degree in political science from Radford University.
