The James City County Police Department has asked the public for help in identifying a body found Sunday in Black Stump Creek off the Chickahominy River near Bush Neck Road.
At about 4 p.m. Sunday, police received a call from a boater who said he had seen a possible body in the water. Fire and police personnel sent a boat to that location, near the 2300 block of Bush Neck Road, where a body was found.
The body is that of a white male who is believed to be in his 30’s with dark brown or black hair. There are no identifying marks or items on the body, and it’s believed the man had been in the water for three to four days, according to a news release.
