Williamsburg Police Search for Man After Violent Fight

Williamsburg Police are searching for a man they believe sent another man to the hospital with fractures around his eyesockets and a broken nose after a fight over a woman around 1:30 a.m. today.

Maj. Greg Riley of the Williamsburg Police Department said 22-year-old Alexander Xavier Berkley is believed to have injured the man before fleeing the scene. When police arrived at the 900 block of Capital Landing Road to the reported fight in progress, they found the victim on the ground. He was taken to Riverside Doctor’s Hospital.

Warrants were obtained for Berkley, who is charged with felony maiming and possession of marijuana. Riley said police discovered the marijuana when they were searching Berkley’s room.

Berkley is a 6’1″, 180-pound black male with black hair and brown eyes. Anyone with information on Berkley’s whereabouts should call Crime Line at 888-LOCK-U-UP (888-562-5887).
