The Rev3 Triathlon in Williamsburg close down several roads this weekend.
The triathlon races will take place Sunday and will include a swim in the James River near Jamestown Island, a bike race through James City County to the College of William and Mary and a run through the City of Williamsburg back to the College of William and Mary.
The following lane and road closures will occur Sunday:
- 6 a.m. until noon: Richmond Road lane closure from Forge Road to Andersons Corner
- 6 a.m. until noon: Richmond Road lane closure from Andersons Corner to Diascund Road
- 7 a.m. until noon: Monticello Avenue eastbound lanes closed from News Road to Compton Road
- 7 a.m. until 4 p.m.: Richmond Road lane closure from Brooks Street to James Blair Drive
- 7 a.m. until 4 p.m.: Jamestown Road lane closure from north of Ukrop Way to Mill Neck Road
- 7 a.m. until 4 p.m.: Mill Neck Road lane closure from Jamestown Road to Berkeley Street
- 7 a.m. until 4 p.m.: Compton Road closed from Monticello Avenue to the College of William and Mary campus
- 7 a.m. until 4 p.m.: Brooks Street closed from the College of William and Mary campus to Richmond Road
Police will be directing traffic around the racecourse; motorists should expect delays. Complete Rev3 course maps are available online.
A Glow Run 5K and Glow Run 1 Mile Fun Run will take place at 8:30 p.m. Friday in New Town and will be followed by an outdoor movie.
Casey Boulevard will be closed from Settlers Market Boulevard to Discovery Park Boulevard between 8:30 and 9:30 p.m. Friday. The Glow Run 5K Map is available online.
