WADMC Seeks Applicants for New Advisory Groups

The Williamsburg Area Destination Marketing Committee is accepting applications from Historic Triangle residents and employees for new advisory groups to aid in marketing efforts.

Four new groups – booking engine and call center, advertising, public relations and website — will comprise no more than 10 professionals each. The groups will support the new WADMC Director Corrina Ferguson.

Booking Engine and Call Center Advisory Group

The booking engine and call center group will comprise lodging and attraction booking engine professionals and call center management to support development of the VisitWilliamsburg.com website.

Among several other duties, the committee will participate in review meetings to provide feedback on booking engine and call center direction, and will assist in developing requests for proposals.

Advertising Advisory Group

The advertising group will bring together marketing professionals to support developing creative campaigns, media planning and placement and target markets.

The group will participate in review meetings and provide feedback on campaign direction, and assist in recommending strategic approaches to use in marketing, along with other duties.

Public Relations Advisory Group

The public relations group will be made up of public relations and communications professionals to assist in public relations and communications campaigns, vendor management and supporting research.

The group will recommend strategic approaches for promoting the area to media outlets and will assist in developing the annual public relations plan, among other duties.

Website Advisory Group

The website group will comprise digital media professionals who will advise and support development and management of the VisitWilliamsburg.com website. The site supports the overall marketing campaign.

Among several duties, the group will participate in review and provide feedback and assist in promoting the area through digital efforts including the website and social media.
