Busch Gardens and Water Country USA are participating in SeaWorld Parks and Entertainment’s Waves of Honor program to provide complimentary admission to service members and their families.
“It has always been our honor to host members of the military and their families at our parks each year,” said Jim Atchison, president and CEO of SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment, in a release. “Waves of Honor is our way to say ‘thank you’ to these dedicated service men and women who sacrifice so much to preserve the freedom we share in this country.”
The program allows one free visit to Busch Gardens, Water Country USA, SeaWorld, Sesame Place, Adventure Island or a weekday visit to Aquatica San Diego. Active duty military, activated or drilling reservists, National Guardsmen and up to three of their direct dependents are eligible for free admission.
A valid active military ID is required for the service member and all dependents age 10 and older. Service members should register online or at the entrance plaza of a participating park. Dependents can take advantage of the offer without the service member present, but an adult must accompany minor dependents.
Inactive, standby and retired reserve members, military retirees, U.S. Merchant Marine and civilian Department of Defense workers are not eligible for the program. Waves of Honor does not provide free admission to Discovery Cove in Orlando or Aquatica Orlando.
