Charges are pending against a 14-year-old boy after he allegedly pointed a BB gun at several students at a middle school bus stop on Gray Gables Drive in Country Village Trailer Park in James City County on March 5.
Major Stephen Rubino of the James City County Police Department said the suspect approached a group of students at the bus stop around 7:20 a.m. March 5, pulled a gun from his waistband and pointed it at the group. He then left the scene.
After interviewing the victims and other witnesses, police later identified the juvenile as a student who had been expelled from New Kent Middle School. He is currently in the custody of a grandmother, Rubino said.
Police also determined the weapon was a BB gun.
Petitions are pending against him for concealing a weapon, possessing a weapon on school property and three counts of brandishing a firearm. The possessing a weapon on school property charge stems from the bus stop, which is considered school property.
Country Village Trailer Park is located near Pocahontas Trail.
