Virginia Peninsulas Public Service Authority will not collect curbside recycling Tuesday due to the holiday. A makeup collection day is scheduled for this Saturday. Recycling bins should be placed on the curb by 7 a.m. for pickup.
This makeup day is for residents of James City County, Williamsburg, York County and Poquoson whose recycling is usually collected Tuesdays. City of Williamsburg residents have their recycling pickup on Wednesday; it will be unaffected.
Recycling collection for Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday will not be affected by the New Year’s Day holiday and will continue on a normal schedule.
