Walsingham Academy’s singers have performed in London during the Olympics and for the Pope in Vatican City, but on Wednesday, they’re performing in Williamsburg for free.
As a gift to the community, students in Walsingham’s Upper School will perform a concert and tableau at 7 p.m. Wednesday at St. Bede Catholic Church. The presentation, titled, “Telling the Birth of Christ through Scripture, Poetry and Song,” will highlight the stories of advent and Christmas with both traditional and nontraditional songs.
Seniors Caitlin Raybourne and Gabrielle Granger collaborated to write a new arrangement of an Appalachian folk carol, “Star of the East.” It will be performed by the Senior Madrigals.
The concert is free and open to the community.
