The York County School Board approved the appointment of three assistant principals Monday.
The assistant principals were appointed at York High School, Dare Elementary School and Magruder Elementary School.
Michelle Cihak will transition from her role as Assessment & Compliance Coordinator to Assistant Principal at York High. Cihak joined York schools in 2001, and previously served as coordinator for the International Baccalaureate program. Cihak has a master’s degree from Walden University and is currently pursuing her doctorate in education through The College of William & Mary.
Tammy Krejcarek will become Assistant Principal at Magruder Elementary School. She joins York County Schools from Williamsburg-James City County Schools, where she served as a math resource teacher at D.J. Montague Elementary School. She began her teaching career in 1994 and in addition to WJCC, has been employed by Portsmouth and Newport News schools.
Krejcarek has a master’s degree from the College of William & Mary and earned her Education Specialist degree from Regent University.
York County veteran Kimberly Haskins will become Assistant Principal at Dare Elementary School. Haskins joined the division in 1990 and most recently served as an Online Learning Specialist. She has a master’s degree from Old Dominion University and an Educational Specialist degree from George Washington University.
