YORKTOWN — The 13th Annual Art at the River Juried Art Show will take place May 3 at Riverwalk Landing in Yorktown, and those who want to showcase their artistic talent are invited to apply.
Presented by the Art at the River Committee in conjunction with the Yorktown Foundation and York County, the show has welcomed over 150 area artists over the past 12 years. The Williamsburg Area and York County Arts Commissions support the event.
Types of artwork that are accepted:
- Painting (watercolors, oils, acrylics, tempera, pastels, etc.)
- Pen & Ink Drawings
- Photography
- Woodwork
- Pottery
- Glass
- Metalwork
- Fabric
- Jewelry
- Fiber
- Basketry
- Graphics
- Mixed Media
Items must be conceived and executed solely by the exhibiting artist, and all work must be for sale during the show with the artist present, according to the county.

Applications are due Sunday, Feb. 1. The event will take place on Sunday, May 3, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Riverwalk Landing in Yorktown. The application fee is $25. Invitations to participate in the Juried Art Show will be issued on Friday, March 13.
