Pianist Thomas Pandolfi to Perform Concert in Yorktown

YORKTOWN — Sine Nomine Presents… and St Mark Lutheran Church are partnering with the Senior Center of York to present pianist Thomas Pandolfi May 29.

The American pianist is recognized as “an exciting virtuoso who, with each passing season, is becoming more and more sought after by audiences worldwide, and showered with superlatives by critics for his passionate artistry and amazing technique,” according to series organizers, adding his performances of Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninov, Chopin, Liszt and Gershwin have made him popular across the globe.

Pandolfi has performed China and Europe. Organizers said he enjoyed a successful summer of masterclasses and concerts in China, and will return there again later this season.

Known as a champion of new music, Pandolfi’s most recent recording recently released on Seafront Records features Polo Piatti’s Bohemian Concerto with Maestro John Andrews and The National Symphony Orchestra of London.

A graduate of The Juilliard School, Pandolfi earned both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees as a scholarship student.

The concert takes place a 2 p.m. Thursday, May 29 at St Mark Lutheran Church, 118 Old York-Hampton Highway in Yorktown.
