WILLIAMSBURG — The Williamsburg Contemporary Art Center will host two new exhibits at two locations during April and May.

At the Williamsburg Contemporary Art Center, the 3D/Artisan Show will feature three-dimensional works by member artisans in the two main galleries. The show runs from April 9 through May 23 and will include sculptures, pottery, ceramics, jewelry, and fiber art in addition to WCAC’s regular Artisan Corner.

The center notes all work is conceived and executed by the artisans — no commercial molds or kits are used. The Fireside Gallery will also host an exhibit with the theme “Flowers and Gardens,” where members can participate in their preferred medium.

More than 50 artists and artisans from WCAC will display their works of art at the Williamsburg Regional Library Gallery at the Stryker Center from April 17 through May 28. The exhibit will include a wide variety of 2D (paintings and photography) and 3D artistic styles and mediums. According to WCAC, there will be a reception, including light refreshments and non-alcoholic beverages, for participating artists and the general public on Wednesday, April 16, from 3-5 p.m.

“We are excited that WCAC members will have two different opportunities in two different venues in which to exhibit their best work during roughly the same time frame,” said Apryl Altman, program chair. “The WCAC venue gives our artisans the primary focus for their creations during this exhibit. The Stryker Center venue offers a beautiful space for exhibiting a variety of mediums in a convenient location next to the library. We are grateful to the Williamsburg Regional Library for this opportunity to showcase the exceptional talent of our artists and artisans.”

The Williamsburg Contemporary Art Center is located at 110 Westover Ave. and is open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Wednesday through Saturday. The WRL Gallery at Stryker Center, part of the Williamsburg Regional Library system, is located at 412 N. Boundary St. It is open to visitors Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. All artwork will be for sale.
