Shot fired in attempted vehicle larceny in York County

YORK COUNTY — A man was shot at after engaging a suspect who was allegedly attempting to break into vehicles.
The York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office (YPSO) responded to a report of someone attempting to break into vehicles at approximately 3:03 am on May 5 to the 100 block of Paradise Point Road.
According to a Facebook post from the YPSO, the homeowner was outside with his dog when he heard a noise. The homeowner then chased the suspect from his yard. The suspect then shot at the homeowner one time and immediately fled the area.
There were no reported injuries.
At this time, there is no description of the suspect available.
