Stanley was brought to Heritage Humane Society with no information about his past or his behavior history. He has been a sweetheart here at the shelter, but the Heritage Humane Society wanted to find out a little more about him. So, we went on a field trip. We were struck by how perfect he was in the car. He laid in the back and didn’t make a peep. About halfway to our destination we looked back to tell him he’s a very good boy when we noticed the worried look and the drops of drool. The poor guy might get a wee bit car sick. We almost made it there before his breakfast made an unceremonious reappearance. When we stopped, he looked at me with the “it was an accident” face. We told him it’s not his fault and we still think he’s a very good boy. The rest of the field trip went smoothly. Stanley played with another dog. He met a nice lady and her 2-year-old granddaughter. And, possibly because he was worn out on the return trip, did better on the ride back to the shelter. (Picture of Stanley trying to hide the evidence above)
