Meet Saint, a handsome white Terrier mix who is eager to find his forever home and start on his adventure through life.
Saint came in to Heritage Humane Society as an owner surrender. The best adopter for Saint would be an adopter who has owned dogs prior or has owned a bully breed prior.
Saint would not be best for the first time dog owner. He is still young (two years old) and learning boundaries, he needs obedience training and leash training, but since we have started working with him at the shelter he has done well!
Continuing this training is an absolute must so everything sticks well with him and he continues to develop into a polished young dog.
He is large in size, a good 50 lbs, and he is on the stronger side. Being a strong handler is required, and he could not live with small children due to his size and strength.
Saint would work best as the only animal in the house. No cats is a requirement for adoption. If you do have a dog or dogs in your home, a meet and greet is absolutely required.
This environment is very stressful for any animal, and Saint has had a hard time wrapping his head around being here. We are working with him on obedience and leash training, continuing will help him out tremendously.
Having a fenced in yard or backyard is required — this way he can have room to play and run, as well as work on his training. He could not live in an apartment home.
He also loves toys such as rope toys and Kongs filled with goodies like peanut butter.
