
Greater Williamsburg Association for Volunteer Administration members recently met at the Olde Towne Medical and Dental Center. Olde Towne volunteer coordinator Elaine Swartz hosted the meeting. After the business portion of the meeting, Olde Towne Medical and Dental Center staff offered a comprehensive tour of the recently renovated facility.
The purpose of GWAVA. is to provide administrators of volunteer services with opportunities to further a career in volunteer administration, improve skills, enhance professionalism, and to exchange ideas and information. Additionally G.W.A.V.A. broadens community awareness of volunteerism and encourages involvement of volunteers in community service organizations, agencies, and institutions.
