JAMES CITY COUNTY— On Feb. 23, 2026, Andre Scione, 34, of the 3300 block of Geddy Terrace in Toano, was charged with two counts of sexual assault and three counts of assault and battery of a minor.
Scione, a teacher at Warhill High School, is accused of engaging in inappropriate conduct involving three female Williamsburg-James City County school students. The alleged conduct began in 2024 when the students attended Toano Middle School, where Scione was previously employed.
Scione was arrested and transported to the Virginia Peninsula Regional Jail, where he is being held pending bond.
A comprehensive investigation began in October 2025 after a victim came forward. The Williamsburg-James City County School Division subsequently placed Scione on administrative leave. Charges were developed in consultation with the Office of the Commonwealth’s Attorney.
