WILLIAMSBURG — William & Mary announced it will test its emergency notification system Wednesday, June 11 at 12:15 p.m.
The drill will include a test of both the campus-wide siren and mass notification messaging systems, the university said.
According to William & Mary, the siren system includes nine sirens with 400-watt speakers stationed across campus and includes a PA system functionality, and cautions anyone near campus is also likely to hear them. In the event of a real emergency, people in the community who hear the siren may check for information and instructions at wm.edu.
Members of the community can also follow emergency news through the William & Mary News Facebook and social platform X pages, as well as via the free W&M mobile app.
