Casey Fusco of Yorktown graduates from the University of Rhode Island

Casey Fusco of Yorktown is among the University of Rhode Island’s newest alumni.
Nearly 3,600 undergraduate degrees and 600 graduate degrees were conveyed to students during the ceremonies which took place May 16-18. Fusco received a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences.
Founded in 1892 and located in Kingston, Rhode Island, URI enrolls more than 18,000 students and offers more than 200 degree programs across nine schools and colleges.

William Naramore Receives Degree From Georgia Tech
William Naramore of Williamsburg earned a Master of Science in Analytics from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta.
Naramore was among 6,660 undergraduate and graduate students to be presented Georgia Tech degrees during the Institute’s 268th Commencement exercises May 1-3.
Jacoby Melton Named to Dean’s List at Georgia Tech for the Spring 2025 Semester
Jacoby Melton of Yorktown made the Dean’s List for the Spring 2025 semester at the Georgia Institute of Technology. This designation is awarded to undergraduate students who have earned a 3.0 or higher academic average for the semester.

Berry of Yorktown Awarded Degree from University of Arkansas

The University of Arkansas honored its most recent graduating class with a series of spring commencement ceremonies at Bud Walton Arena and Barnhill Arena, and the School of Law’s ceremony at the Fayetteville Town Center.
Michael Berry of Yorktown graduated with a M.S. in Engineering Management and was among more than 5,500 graduates earning a degree and a spot for their name on Senior Walk.

Williamsburg resident named to Clark University’s Spring Dean’s List
Noah B. Katz, of Williamsburg, was named to second honors on the Clark University Dean’s List. This selection marks outstanding academic achievement during the Spring 2025 semester.
Students must have a GPA of 3.8 or above for first honors or a GPA between 3.50 and 3.79 for second honors.

UTampa Student, Megan Sapp, of Seaford, Earned Dean’s List Honors
Megan Sapp, of Seaford, earned dean’s list honors at University of Tampa as a Senior in the Spring 2025 semester. Sapp is majoring in History B.A. Students must maintain a GPA of 3.75 or higher to be eligible for the dean’s list.

Over 350 Shenandoah University Student-Athletes Earn ODAC All-Academic Honors
Shenandoah University set another school record during the 2024-25 academic year with 358 student-athletes garnering Old Dominion Athletic Conference All-Academic Team honors. This year marked the second straight that Shenandoah has had over 300 honorees, and this year’s total is 29 more than SU had in 2023-24.

UAF names spring 2025 honors students

The University of Alaska Fairbanks has announced the students named to the deans’ and chancellor’s lists for the spring 2025 semester. The lists recognize students’ outstanding academic achievements.
Students receiving a 3.9 grade point average or higher are placed on the chancellor’s list, while those receiving a grade point average of between 3.5 and 3.89 are named to the deans’ list.

Amber Montoya Jarquin receives degree from University of Alaska Fairbanks

The University of Alaska Fairbanks honored the Class of 2025 during its 103rd commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 3, at the Carlson Center in Fairbanks.
Amber Montoya Jarquin of Williamsburg received the following degree: Bachelor of Science, Biological Sciences, Cum Laude.
The university’s first commencement took place in 1923, when the sole graduate, John Sexton Shanly, received a bachelor’s degree in agriculture. This year, UAF conferred approximately 1,184 degrees on 1,110 students. Some students received more than one degree.
UAF is a Land, Sea and Space Grant institution and is the leading doctoral degree-granting institution in the state of Alaska founded in 1917.
Liz Friedrichs named to the dean’s list at Tufts University
Liz Friedrichs, Class of 2026 of Williamsburg, was named to the dean’s list at Tufts University for the spring 2025 semester. Dean’s list honors at Tufts University require a semester grade point average of 3.4 or greater.
Tufts University is located on campuses in Boston, Medford/Somerville and Grafton, Massachusetts, and in Talloires, France.
Bridget Palermo Named to Muhlenberg College Dean’s List

A graduate of Jamestown High School, Bridget Palermo of Williamsburg, has been named to the spring 2025 Dean’s List while studying Music and Theatre at Muhlenberg College.
To be eligible for the Dean’s List, Muhlenberg College students must earn a GPA of 3.5 or better while taking three or more course units during a semester.
Founded in 1848, Muhlenberg is a highly selective, four-year residential, liberal arts college in the city of Allentown, Pennsylvania.
