According to Sine Nomine, Davy has served historic Bruton Parish in Williamsburg since 2004, taking the position after moving to the Tidewater Region from Southern California with her family. As full-time Music Director and Organist, she maintains a full schedule, directing two choirs and handbells, administering the church’s extensive Candlelight Concert series as well as the Historic Organ Recitals at the Wren Chapel on the William & Mary campus, and playing for services and numerous concerts.
Concert organizers note under Davy’s leadership, the church has acquired an English double harpsichord, a Steinway grand piano, and most recently, its current pipe organ, built by Dobson Organ Builders and installed in 2019. Sine Nomine adds her passion for new music has resulted in many commissioned works primarily for choir, but also for the organ and for handbells.
Davy is also the Artistic Director of the Williamsburg Women’s Chorus and a private music teacher. Her graduate degrees in organ performance and musicology are from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, and her undergraduate degree in organ performance is from the University of Puget Sound in her home state of Washington.
