WILLIAMSBURG— Welcome home Tribe Alumni! William & Mary kicked off its homecoming weekend with a parade down Richmond Road and current students and alumni lined the street to celebrate.
Grand Marshal Cord Jefferson, William & Mary Class of 2004, returned to campus to help kick off the celebrations. Jefferson, who went on to become a successful director in Hollywood, will be honored at halftime during the football game on Saturday.
Homecoming weekend for William & Mary will see plenty of events on and around the campus. On Saturday, Oct. 19 at 10 a.m., Jefferson will headline a conversation on his time at the university with William & Mary President Katherine Rowe.
Also on Saturday, the Tribe football team will take on Campbell University at 3:30 p.m. The Green and Gold will be looking for the fifth win of the season against the Fighting Camels.
Motorists should exercise caution when driving near campus as extra pedestrian traffic is expected throughout the weekend.
