WILLIAMSBURG — The Greater Williamsburg Chamber of Commerce announced its 2024 Christmas Parade theme — “Believe.”
An annual tradition that began in 1965, this year’s parade is set to kick off on Dec. 8 at 5 p.m.
The Greater Williamsburg Chamber of Commerce said last year’s event saw a record-breaking 21,000 spectators attend.
“This year’s theme, ‘Believe,’ encourages participants to have their floats reflect what it means to believe,” the Chamber said, and the community is invited to become part of the spectacle by donning light-up accessories and attire, contributing to the dazzling atmosphere of the early-evening event.
According to the Chamber, local marching bands can secure early access by reaching out to Lauren Moore, Vice President of Communications & Programming. Applications will open on July 23 on the official parade webpage for all other float entries, where those interested can also sign up for email notifications to stay informed regarding Christmas Parade updates.
