Their book, “The RFactor; Universal Rhythms for Leading Prosperous Relationships,” follows Mindi and Rich, who discover that relationships are a factor impacting every aspect of their lives. According to a synopsis, “Mindi, a concert producer, and Rich, a stockbroker and aspiring songwriter, each find their lives are out of sync and face their own personal and professional relationship journey and unexpected self-discovery. Mindi and Rich learn that when the four universal relationship rhythms are in sync — Respect, Responsibility, Reframing, and Resilience—their business prospers, and life is thriving.”

“People always ask us how we’ve been together 20 years as a couple in love, work together 24/7 and still want to be in the same room together 365 days a year! What we have known without analyzing it is that our relationship has a flow and a rhythm that works. It’s a culture of Respect, Responsibility, Reframing and Resilience that guides every relationship,” the couple expains. “That’s ‘The RFactor’ culture and when one of those is not working, things fall apart!”

“So in our work over decades, as relationship marketers, coaches and executive producers we explored this with our clients, celebrities, and leaders across all industries and recognized that in fact these four rhythms are at the core of every great business and personal relationship accomplishment!” they added. “During COVID — we launched our relational leadership division of Prosody, and set a mission to bring the ‘RFactor’ culture into every business and household across the globe. Imagine it! Afterall, we always have a choice in how we show up in the world!”

Ashby and Segal have been residents of Williamsburg since 2019.

“Our work over decades in the public and private sectors has been centered on relationship marketing and building a culture of human connection that unites diverse populations and elevates individual voices and stories for impactful results,” Ashby said. “We fell in love with Williamsburg in 2004 when our event marketing agency (Prosody Creative Services) was hired as executive producers for America’s 400th Anniversary. It was an incredible experience, steeped in rich cultural relationships. We knew Williamsburg would be a permanent part of our future and have since supported the 1619 American Evolution commemoration as well.”

Both Kiwanis members, Ashby and Segal will donate $1 from every sale the day of the event to the Williamsburg Kiwanis Foundation to support area youth. Those who cannot make the event can call 757-564-0687 to order a signed book.
