W&M Football Standout Charles Grant Earns Reese’s Senior Bowl Invite

(Tribe Athletics)

WILLIAMSBURG — After establishing himself as one of the nation’s top offensive linemen, William & Mary senior left tackle Charles Grant became the first player to earn and accept an invitation to play in the 2025 Reese’s Senior Bowl in Mobile, Ala., on Feb. 1. The game will be televised on NFL Network.

The nation’s longest continual-running postseason college all-star game, the Senior Bowl featured 110 NFL Draft picks last season, representing 43 percent of all the players selected. More than 900 NFL personnel, including key decision-makers from all 32 teams, were in attendance for the contest that features many of the country’s top NFL prospect.

Grant will become the ninth W&M player to participate in the Senior Bowl, joining recent participants DeAndre Houston Carson (2016) and B.W. Webb (2013). Both Houston-Carson (Chicago Bears, 6th Round) and Webb (Dallas Cowboys, 4th Round) were selected in the NFL Draft.

One of the nation’s top-rated tackles in the FCS this season according to PFF, Grant has helped W&M’s offense rank third nationally in rushing (248.5) and 11th in total offense (444.6).

A consensus preseason All-America selection, Grant was also invited to the East-West Shrine Bowl and selected to the Walter Payton Award Preseason Watch List.

The two-time first-team All-CAA selection ranked as the conference’s top tackle in pass blocking efficiency last season and allowed just one sack on 334 pass blocking snaps. Additionally, he finished the fall grading out at 92 percent with 40 pancakes en route to helping W&M rank 13th national in rushing (196.9).

His impressive junior campaign followed his breakout sophomore season in which he did not allow any sacks in 13 starts and helped W&M rank third nationally in rushing (265.8) and fourth in fewest sacks allowed per game (0.77).

Grant will look to join a group of five former Tribe standouts who are currently on NFL rosters – Nate Lynn (Lions), Bill Murray (Bears), Luke Rhodes (Colts), Colby Sorsdal (Lions) and Owen Wright (Ravens).
