HISTORIC TRIANGLE — Habitat for Humanity Peninsula and Greater Williamsburg announced that registration is open for PickleBUILD, an inaugural pickleball tournament benefiting the construction of a Habitat home for a veteran in James City County.
Pickleball enthusiasts, community members and supporters of Habitat’s mission are invited to participate in this two-day event, set for Nov. 9-10, Veterans Day weekend.
PickleBUILD will take place at Veterans Park beginning at 8 a.m. and continuing until 8 p.m. on both Saturday, Nov. 9 and Sunday, Nov. 10.
The event is open to players of all skill levels, with various registration options available with 100% of tournament proceeds going to fund the construction of a Habitat home for a local veteran and their family in need of affordable housing.
No registrations will be accepted on site. Participants must register on or before Nov. 6.
All tournament participants will enjoy a spirited, community-centered tournament experience, with divisions for players of all abilities.
Spectators are also welcome to attend and cheer on players, with food, beverages, pickleball merchandise and other activities available throughout the weekend.
PickleBUILD is the first tournament hosted by Habitat for Humanity Peninsula and Greater Williamsburg.
