WILLIAMSBURG — The William & Mary men’s and women’s gymnastics programs have a long tradition of excelling athletically, academically and in the community. This year’s teams continued to build upon that tradition by sponsoring their annual food drive, which collected nearly 2,400 pounds of non-perishable food for the local FISH food pantry and clothing.
This winter marks the 15th year that W&M has sponsored a food drive benefiting FISH. During that span, the Tribe has collected 34,558 pounds of food and blankets for the organization.
The FISH volunteer food pantry serves hundreds of clients each month by providing emergency food and clothing.
Both programs recently opened their 2024 seasons. The men’s squad returns to action Saturday at the Navy Open, while the women will compete in a quad meet at Towson on Feb. 2.
