WILLIAMSBURG — Pup parents will have a new place to train and socialize their pups this fall when the Zoom Room opens in New Town.
The new franchise location will be owned and operated by Williamsburg residents, Kevin and Tamara Lembke.
“We are super excited about what this can do for the community,” said Tamara.
Zoom Room provides extensive training for new franchise owners, as well as a comprehensive education program says Lembke, “Positive reinforcement, reading a dog’s body language, understanding the dog’s and owner’s needs.”
“Redefined dog training with classes specially designed to encourage dogs to build confidence and success as they master new behaviors in a simple, step-by-step process” is how Zoom Room defines its techniques.
“The programs we will offer are 100% owner-involved. You won’t be able able to drop your dog off and leave,” Tamara continues, “We want to train owners and their dogs to interact with one another. This becomes a bonding experience between the two.”
The location will provide puppy preschool classes to assist owners with dog socialization, puppy plus obedience classes along with basic agility and obedience programs available for dogs of all ages. Private lessons and private gym time will also be offered.
“This is a more controlled environment than a typical dog park,” said Kevin, “This will allow you a place to train or just bring your dog to meet other dogs and hang out with other owners.”
The couple is already working on special events, such as puppy parties, and local animal organization collaborations.
“We are very passionate about the community and we want to be good partners with everyone and bring a fun place where people can gather and share their love of their pets and add a local aspect to it all,” Kevin added.
Vaccination records and an evaluation will be required to attend classes and play groups.
Zoom Room is slated to open at 5129 Main St., New Town in September 2023. Watch its Facebook page for updates.
