WILLIAMSBURG — The fifth concert in the Three Jolly Coachmen’s Coffee House concert series, scheduled for Friday, May 12, at 7:30 p.m., will feature the Three Jolly Coachmen (TJC) with original member Peter Budnikas returning on banjo.

The performance will take place at Bruton Parish Church’s Lewis Hall. A portion of ticket sales and all drink donations will be donated to Bruton Parish’s new Community Care Closet.

Community Care Closet, a new organization supported by FISH, Grove Christian Outreach and the Greater Williamsburg Outreach Mission, will provide kids immediate access on school grounds with food to take home and other basic necessities such as toiletries, undergarments, shoes, and schools supplies that may not be readily available to families from the other places because of lack of transportation or other challenges.

The Three Jolly Coachmen, a group that pays tribute to one of America’s hottest pop music acts in the late 1950s and early 1960s — The Kingston Trio — has been entertaining audiences in and around Williamsburg for 16 years.

The TJC Coffee House concert series, which premiered last September, features bi-monthly performances by TJC and other local entertainers, and supports local charities. The first four concerts in the series have generated nearly $4,000 in donations to FISH, SpiritWorks, Grove Christian Outreach Center, and the United Services Organization (USO).

Also joining the Three Jolly Coachmen on May 12 will be well-known Williamsburg artist Bob Oller, who will display some of his artwork and will be on hand to discuss it with attendees.
