Kick off the most wonderful time of the year at Yorktown’s 80th Annual Christmas Tree Lighting! Gather by the Victory Monument at 6:30 p.m. to hear local elementary school children perform holiday favorites before parading down to Riverwalk Landing for the grand lighting of our dazzling 24-foot tree at 7:30 p.m. Hear holiday tunes before Santa and Mrs. Claus make their jolly entrance on York County’s very first fire truck! Plus, kids from 1 to 92 can pen letters to Santa and service members inside the warm and festive Yorktown Freight Shed.

Find gifts that’ll make everyone jingle all the way! Nearly 100 vendors will line Main Street with handcrafted treasures — ornaments, soaps, wreaths, jewelry, and more — to help you wrap up your holiday shopping in style. The Town Crier will open the market Saturday at 10 a.m., followed by the stirring sounds of The Fifes and Drums of York Town. Santa will arrive in true Yorktown fashion — aboard a vintage fire truck — before greeting families throughout the day. Enjoy strolling musicians, colonial ornament making, roasted chestnuts (Saturday only), and a charming model train display.
A Sailor’s Christmas Awaits at the Lighted Boat Parade

Anchors aweigh for a sparkling night on the York River! Experience caroling around glowing braziers, story time, and live tunes by the Tomcats Dixieland Band and The Fifes and Drums of York Town.
