Furry Friends Feature: Most Popular Charity Golf Tournament Now Accepting Sponsorships

Make Par for Pets, Greater Williamsburg’s buzziest charity golf tournament benefiting The Heritage Humane Society is accepting sponsorships for its sure-to-be sold-out 2024 tournament. Set to take place on Sept. 13, 2024, this marks the third consecutive year it will be held on the PGA- and LPGA-tournament golf courses at Kingsmill Resort.

Sponsorships 100% stay local

The Heritage Humane Society’s annual Make Par for Pets Golf Classic presented by Invisible Fence Brand of Hampton Roads attracts sponsors of all sizes thanks to a multitude of sponsorship options that pairs their brands with the area’s key business leaders and decision makers. Championship fairways, lush greens, camaraderie and competition is topped with knowing all sponsorships directly benefit the homeless pets at Greater Williamsburg’s largest animal shelter.

Putts for philanthropy

Golfers will indulge in the captivating beauty of the River and Plantation Courses, treading the same paths as professional golfers. The tournament will follow a captain’s choice format, promising a thrilling experience for players of all levels.

Attendees will have the unique opportunity to meet adoptable dogs, participate in raffles, contest holes, and more, all in support of The Heritage Humane Society’s mission to provide shelter, care and advocacy for homeless and abandoned animals.

Sponsorship opportunities are available, providing businesses and individuals with a platform to support a worthy cause while gaining valuable exposure. This year, the tournament introduces the Eagle Sponsor level, guaranteeing registrants a chance to play on the esteemed River Course. Other sponsorship levels include Birdie Sponsor, Purr-fect Team, 2 Course Hole Sponsor, and 1 Course Hole Sponsor. Sponsors also enjoy a number of additional exposure on the shelter’s website and the golf event’s marketing materials.

Player registration for the tournament is now open, with options available for both individual players and foursomes. Each player registration includes greens fee, cart, range use, hot breakfast sandwich, draft beer all day generously sponsored by Noah’s Ark Veterinary Hospital, and an Italian-themed buffet lunch.

“We are grateful to have Invisible Fence Brand of Hampton Roads return as the Presenting Sponsor for the Make Par for Pets Golf Classic for the second consecutive year,” stated Kimberly Laska, CAWA, Executive Director of The Heritage Humane Society. “Their continued support and every single one of our sponsors is instrumental in the success of our tournament and the daily care for Greater Williamsburg’s largest homeless pet shelter.”
