How long have you owned/been involved with your business?
- 3 months
How did you get started in your business/ industry?
- After retiring as a nurse, I wanted to open my own business. As a participant in axe throwing, I thought it would be a great addition to Williamsburg.
What is a common misconception about your business?
- As I spread the word about AXE REPUBLIC and axe throwing, many people assume that it is a dangerous event.
What makes you different from the other businesses in this area? Why should a customer pick you?
- AXE REPUBLIC is a one of a kind recreational activity in Williamsburg. If you are looking for something fun and new to do without having to drive to Richmond or Virginia Beach, then AXE REPUBLIC is for you!

What is the most rewarding thing you get out of what you do?
- I enjoy working with the public and local community. AXE REPUBLIC will provide an opportunity for me to keep doing just that and to give back to the community as well.

- Love Actually
If someone was to give you a gift (money’s no object) what would you want?
- Tickets to the Women’s World Cup (Soccer) in France
What is the one quality you admire most in others?
- Honesty
Where is the next place you want to visit?
- I would enjoy traveling across the United States in an RV!
If you had to pick one place in town to take a tourist, where would it be?
- I think the perfect spot to take friends or family visiting, is wall through CW, taking in the sights and enjoying the taverns.
Describe your perfect day off
- The perfect day off would include a trip to Cape Charles and shell hunting.
