WILLIAMSBURG — Synergy HomeCare of Williamsburg celebrated its grand opening with a ribbon-cutting on Thursday, Jan. 15.
Located at McLaws Circle in Williamsburg, Synergy HomeCare is a 24-Hour In-Home Care and Senior Care franchise. The facility offers a variety of services for various levels and types of care needs.
“I think [this business] is going to fill a real need in this community,” said James City County Board of Supervisors member John J. McGlennon.
Felix Gbee and his wife, Sabita, said they started with Synergy HomeCare out of a need for service. Gbee served in the army for 18 years before leaving due to medical reasons, and the couple wanted to continue to serve their community.
“For me, Synergy Homecare is not just a business, it’s an avenue for me to serve my community,” he said.
The new facility is the third for the Gbees in Virginia, joining locations in Leesburg and Great Falls. Felix said he wanted to open this additional facility to help support veterans in the local community.
